The horizontal U.S. land rig count fell by 6 rigs to 318 and the total land rig count fell by 3 rigs to 388.
Tight oil plays gained 1 rig.
Losers: Bakken (-1), Eagle Ford (-3), Niobrara (-1) = -5.
Winners: Permian (+3), Mississippi Lime (+2), Granite Wash (+1) = +6.
Go figure why the Mississippi Lime and Granite Wash add rigs when the Eagle Ford loses rigs.
Shale gas plays lost 1 rig in the Utica.
