The U.S. horizontal land rig count fell by 5 to 341 and the total land rig count fell by 6 to 414.
The trend for tight oil is moving in the wrong direction gaining 5 rigs. The Bakken added 8 and the Permian basin lost 3 rigs.
The trend for shale gas is moving in the right direction losing 9 rigs. The Woodford lost 8 and the Haynesville lost 1.
