The U.S. land rig count for the week ending 22 January 2016 was 607, down 16, and the horizontal land rig count was 500, down 11 rigs.
Horizontal Rig Count Summary
The tight oil rig count was down 6 rigs. The Bakken lost 2 rigs, the Eagle Ford, 4 and the Permian gained 1 rig. The Mississippi Lime lost 1 rig.
The shale gas rig count was down 6 rigs also. The Haynesville lost 5 rigs, the Marcellus lost 2 and the Woodford gained 1 rig.
